Sourced from the Sigri Estate in Papua New Guinea’s Western Highlands, this coffee thrives in the fertile soils of the Waghi Valley. Established in the 1950s and part of Carpenters Estates, Sigri champions shade-grown coffee, promoting biodiversity and providing sanctuary for over 90 bird species. The estate’s commitment to sustainability ensures exceptional quality and environmental stewardship.

With a meticulous washed and soaked process, cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, triple-fermented, and sun-dried for optimal flavour development. The result is a coffee with vibrant notes of pear, plum, black tea, and grapefruit, offering a clean, balanced cup with a lively acidity.

HOW TO BREW

We’d recommend using an alternative brew method, but an espresso can be enjoyed too.

1. Aeropress: This will balance the coffee’s acidity while still enhancing its fruity sweetness.

2. Pour-Over (V60 or Chemex): This method will highlight flavour clarity and allow for the tropical fruity flavours to pull through.

3. Espresso: If you prefer a more concentrated and full-bodied experience, then this one’s for you.
